Matty,
Go here: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_twimtbp_gameslist.html
click on your game (it lists 2 different COH's), and follow the instructions. The site will give you 2 'grades'. One is a pass/fail on a minimum system requirement, and the other will be a pass/fail on the recommended system requirement. Even running a PCI-e 2.0 card on a 1.0 or 1.1 board should get you more than enough performance to play this game. Have you tried the card on a friend's computer without the new PCI-e 2.0??

I've done that test before (its a great website). I pass on reccomended.
None of my friends would ever let me try it out on their pcs. I've been trying to fix it for two months now, If I get a new motherboard, hopefully all the problems will be solved. I dont really want to try anything else, I just want it dealt with.
