Howdy,

Starcraft, Diablo 1, and Windows Media Player(when playing videos) freeze my system. After a few minutes in each the screen gets a couple lines and or little lines of the screen along with repeating sounds that were playing. This forces me to physically shut down and reboot. I play CS:Source and use The KMPlayer to run video with no problems. I've tried turning off SLI but that did not help. Dxdiag looks fine. Everything is up to date(aside from sp3). I've tried fresh windows install with no other programs aside from sc/bw and it still happens.

I've used all these programs extensively in the past. My video cards were used on my old system (non-sli) with no problems. The processor is new and the 680i lt is new. Do I need to manually adjust settings in the nvidia control panel for the problem programs? Does this sound like a video problem at all?

Hi if you still have the problem after a fresh install of your OS and latest graphics card drivers I'd be looking at your graphics cards for sure.

Yea, I agree, take em out, and try each one individually, it could very well be that one of them is dying

Ok, I tried using each card individually. After about ten minutes of play it happened with both. Either both my gpus are bad or it's a different hardware/software problem. Perhaps it's an issue with my particular card and the 169.21 forceware? Then again, I tried using others; 162.xx to no avail. Which is why I'm thinking it's either my motherboard or my core2 duo. I really don't think it's the overclocking that's done it. I've ran the orthos for many hours, as well as memtest.

PS: Sometimes Chunks of the last screen are visible while other portions are just jagged lines. I played the crysis demo with a lot of settings on high last night, and it was fine. However, this afternoon I tried starting up the game and my screen froze when it got into the menu.
