Please uninstall both these programs and then post a new HJT log if you still require help...

C:\Program Files\P2P_Energy

I uninstalled the two items and ran another hijackthis log and I tried reseating the RAM to see if that would help, but no dice. Unfortunately, I couldn't do anything bout the graphics card cos its built into the motherboard. Would getting a new graphics card work; one that is not built into the motherboard?

Apart from this I dont see any more problems in your log. I am not sure about your video card so I suggest you ask someone in the know..

Have "Hijack This" fix all the following items in the list below by placing a check in the appropriate boxes.Confirm that you have only the listed ones checked, then press <Fix checked> and Close HJT.

Unhappy freezing

how can i tell if there is something wrong with my graphics card or motherboard? is there a program i can install that checks hardware and such? my pc constantly freezes, more so in reg. windows mode, then it takes longer in safe mode.
would getting a new graphics card fix the problem; one that is not built into the mobo, and would it cancel out the old one (built in) and use the new one
i've already posted in hijackthis logs and winxp.
this is really frustrating not knowing what's causing it? i've had my pc since 2003
winxp, sis 651 M mobo

thanks
fay

Hello fay.

Have you done disk cleenup?
Run CCcleaner empty temp files, run defrag, etc.

How full is your hard drive?
How much RAM/Memory do you have installed?
This is an old computer maybe a good cleanup and a reinstall of the operating system after backing up yourr files.
Update drivers.
Have you installed lates BIOS update?

Is this your mainboard?MSI -- MICRO-STAR INT'L CO., LTD.
