Right after the uninstall there was a restart. I installed the 7.6 driver. The majority of the flickering has now gone but it still freezes a lot...

you could try and older driver than that just in case. The x700 isnt the worlds greatest card. Have you tried turnign hardware acceleration down.

I'd rather not go back any more drivers as it starts to get a bit jittery. ive turned to acceleration down and theres practically no flickering on the lower graphics 3d games. but on guild wars its still there slightly. Almost no flickering but the game still freezes then crashes...

I would aslo look into buying a bit more RAM/Memory.This will help your game play a bit smoother.

Because my pc case is sealed due to the warranty....
