Pressing R at first prompt is recovery console with using XP disk

Pressing R at first prompt is recovery console not repair option.

Just pass the R prompt agree to license agreement and then press R after this were prompted.

As long as its an original windows CD. Do the following:

Boot to windows CD

Press to R to repair a windows installation from recovery cd.

Type in number for windows installation you want to log onto - is usually 1 > press enter
Enter the administrator password.

At the prompt type> chkdsk /f /r

This may take a while - after its completed check if the pc reboots ok if not post back.
