Default [Answered] recommend a agp card?

Hi,

As some may know from a previous thread.. my agp card has most likley blown. As this pc is the one my foster kid and his mates use im gonna have to get it fixed up pretty sharpish or they will be wantin to use my baby...which just cant happpen! lol

Can anyone recommend a decent mid-range card thats AGP port? Im in the uk, so uk supppliers will be most useful!

ta for any suggestions.

Hmm.. Going to have a hard time finding a good AGP card I'm afraid, not that many left..

The 7800 is probably one of the best AGP cards around for a reasonable price, although for that price in PCI-E you could get a much better card. Old tech - higher prices

yeh i found this on the same site... i thought this was one of the best budget cards...does the 7800 still beat it you think? its 50 cheaper so im kinda tempted

Hi there,

From a quick google I think you'll find the X1950 is a great card (before the latest gen of cards it was very good and well renowned) and is actually better than the 7800.

I would be tempted to purchase that if looking for an AGP card

That's a nice video card. It plays games pretty smoothly. Although the price went up from $90, when I got it, to $129 ;\
