There isn't very much difference between the GTS and the GT but the GTS will most likely perform slightly better. Do you have links to these cards?

i found that a 512 (g92-newer processor) gts gives similar performance as an 8800 ultra in some of my games.

An often overlooked question is the wattage required to run the card, it may run on 450, but it will perform on a 700, anytime you mention 8800, hope you have the 700
