Angry Graphic Drivers cause Windows to not function.

I replaced an ald Graphics Card with a EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS.
The computer will work fine with it in until I use the Setup Disk that came with it to Install the Drivers. The Setup will not complete and the screen ends up with Black & White Bands across it.I must shut down and go into Sage Mode and use system restore to get Windows back. I can the Reboot and Windows will work fine without those Drivers.
I have XP Pro, 2MB Ram and plenty od Disk Space. After many phone call to EVGA Teck, they said the card was abd and they sent me another.. The result is the same. The setup program will not complete. Any ideas

Hey there,

You gotta remove the old drivers first, and you can just download new drivers from Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies if the ones on the CD don't work
