Default Older drivers better?

Hi this is really wierd, i was using the latest drivers for my graphics card, 169 i thing something like that. In 2d tests it was terrible, and some games would freeze midgame.

So someone suggested i use 93.71 drivers, and you know what, they are amazing!

On the little ATItool fuzzy cube test, i used to get 180fps average at stock clocks, now i get 270fps average, thats at stock.

Also in Pcmark, in the simple test i used to get 900fps topps, no i get in excess of 1600!

And in the medium test i get around 250, instead of 120.

These drivers work wonders!

So what im trying to say is, if your cards playing up, Dont automaticly think the newest drivers are the best, look around and try a few out

Yes it can vary...I read about that years ago.
There are even "independent" drivers--written for gamers-- though I do not know how well they do.
