Default Help Me Major Onboard Issue

Hi im new to this forum and in desperate need of help right let me begin i have just built a new pc. as below.

XBlade
450w psu
4gb pc4200 533mhz ddr2
2 * seagate baracuda 250gig sata hard drive
Asus M2NS-NVM. MOTHERBOARD
AMD 64 X2 6000+ CPU
-ATI X300 128mb Graphics PCI-E- (Problem)
Vista Ultimate

My problem is with the PCI-E Graphics it wont find it. the motherboard has very bad NVIDIA 6100 which CANNOT be disabled from the bios AND CANNOT be disable via Jumpers.

I have disabled it in device manager but computer still wont find my PCI-E card it Works fine on my Brothers pc But Not mine. ive even gone into motherboards safe mode and looked there and have it on good authority i cannot disable Onboard VGA in Bios.

What i have tried is disabling auto memory share and disabling graphics auto share option when i reboot i just get a series of beeps.

I have installed latest bios.

Done everything i can think of.

So Can Anyone HELP PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

Hi and welcome to PC Help Forum

In your BIOS, what do you have selected under > Advanced > Southbridge configuration > Primary graphics adapter?

unfortunatley i have no northbridge or southbridge options on my bios

all i have to remotley do with graphics is.

Primary Display Adapter: (options) AGP,Onboard VGA, PCI, PCI-E (which is selcted)

And

Auto Share VGA Memory: Enable/Disable
When Select Disable
These Options arise below.

Disable/32mb/64mb/128mb/256mb

Have tried all of above and nothing woks when i disable and restart i get a series of beeps 4 or 5. and no monitor feed.

Ps thanks for the welcome.

Thanks

If you don't have an option in the BIOS to "turn off" the on-board graphics card then you're going to find it impossible to add an expansion GFX card and expect it to work as the primary card.

1) I can't find that board on the ASUS site
2) You're right, there is nothing in the BIOS that will achieve this: BIOS - BIOS screens for the Packard Bell Boston motherboard - instr_bios_boston - Information and Instructions - ISTART 2380 - PB82105101 - iStart - platform_amadeus_istart - Desktop
3) It's Packard Bell

You're right, no Jumpers: Core - Jumpers of Boston Motherboard - spec_jumpers_boston - Information and Instructions - ISTART 2380 - PB82105101 - iStart - platform_amadeus_istart - Desktop

Contact ASUS via email and see if they have a release that will give you the option to turn off the gfx card, either in the BIOS or in the GUI.
