Have you tried lowering your graphical settings to see if it removes the filtering/freezing? Also, what temperature does your
CPU (not video card) run at?
Have you tried contacting nVidia or whichever company (BFG, eVGA, PNY,..) branded the card?
Actually after searching the EVGA forums for about half an hour I found that the Factory OCed
GFX cards memory starts to die. So, I decided to see if it works fine when Underclocked. And it worked. So the memory is going bad.
EVGA has the lifetime warranty allowing me to send it back. But im not going to send it back as of yet until it starts to get worse. I was being so annoyed by it I thought it was just the HL2 maps. But I noticed it happend in other games so I decided to check up on it.
Btw, nice specs, im planning on upgrading my PC soon and going to get a C2D and OC it along with a 8800GTX.
