Angry [Resolved]My monitor wont turn on with NVIDIA FX5200 but it does with old video card.

Hi, well I just bought a video card Zachary was offering in here, its a NVIDIA FX5200, so, as soon as I got it, I tried it, but it didnt work, every time I tried to turn on my computer, the monitor wouldnt turn on. It wouldnt turn on as in, the little light would stay yellow and wouldnt go green, and nothing came out in the screen. So I tried to plug my old one back in and it worked. So its not the AGP slot, Im guessing that it could be the BIOS or the video card itself, but Zachary sounded like if he was selling it fully functional, so I dont know. Am I doing something wrong?

Ok you do need to turn onboard off in BIOS to stop conflicts. You also need the drives for the new card?

Ok Im back, and I found out something, its not the BIOS the thing thats giving me problems, its the card. I was getting mad and I tried to take the card off without taking off the screw first, then for some reason thought to myself that that could work, and it did for a while. I was able to start up, log in into my account, install its drivers, then it asked me to restart so I did, and when I it tried to turn back on, the screen went back to blank and the light turned orange or yellow again. Tried to turn it back on many times and it didnt work.

Then, I tried to move the card around in the slot again in different angles to see if it would work, after a couple of tries it did, but when it was going to give me the log on screen, I had a BSOD and it restarted again with the yellow light again. Tried to turn it on again, didnt work, tried to move the card around again and worked for a while until it was time for it to show the log in screen. And that kept happening many times. So now Im convinced that it has something to do with the card. Maybe the position of the card or something alike. Any ideas of what I could do?

Sounds like a dodgy card, did it arive in a opaque silver bag? (Anti static) or just a regular box?

Or it could be fully functioning, you just havnt put it in properly, make sure with AGP cards expecially you give them a firm push to EVERYTHING IS IN AT THE SAME LEVEL.

I had the same problem as you on my first card, the 5200 funny enough lol, it turns out i didnt push it in enough, dont do it to hard or your could break your motherboard

Oh you had the same one as me?? Lol thats cool, well its in a little bag, it says something about "Conductive Grid Bag" and "Static Sensitive Device" and its a bit gray. Theres something wrong with that?? I have that card inside of that bag right now should I take it out or what?
