Angry Onboard video / no video card?

Hey there,

Are there any tweaks/ adjustments that could increase the capabilities of my onboard video? It works OK for most applications, but I am unable to stream the video off of ESPN360.com. Not sure if there any tricks, software utilities, etc that could work out the kinks or if a new video card is my only real option. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
IndyPB

Unfortunately, no. The most you can do is update the drivers for it, but you wont see much, if any performance increase from it. what onboard card do you have?

I'm not even sure what type of onboard video I have. I had this desktop custom built back in 2003 and I've come to the conclusion that it just was not put together very well at all.

Thanks for your time.

Can you provide us with the model# of your motherboard?
To get this, download Everest Home from here: |MG| EVEREST Free Edition 2.20
Install & run it, then click on "Motherboard" and click on "Motherboard" again when the second page loads, then tell us what it says next to "Motherboard Name", for example mine would be "Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro". We can then advise you on what kind of graphics card you can have

Socket "A" Motherboard-- in 2003 not bad --thad I would have added a video -card... really too late for that now-- you'sd be better of to upgrade the whole system-- or at least motherboard + RAM +CPU + video card
If you are really strapped you could consider a CPU & video-card upgrade.
