Thanks in advance!

Please read my 'canned' hardware speech below:

I suggest-- when you repost-- go into User CP under "edit options" --scroll down the list.List all your hardware in the spaces (Please include brand name and model)-- at the top-- there is an option to "allow others to view my specs" click on yes. Saves a lot of time between posts if while you check something I can go look up your mobo manufacturer's site and read the manual.
You can also list your OS...all this is a great time-saver for us-- we can view everything quickly to refresh our memories... as we are all working multiple threads at once. This would be automatic from that point on-- so if you have another problem six months from now-- we can instantly know what you have.

regarding my monitor, it's working perfectly when connected through my laptop display output. I can possibly say that my graphics card is screwed up, isn't it?

Sorry for late response

Hey us1903,

I've just re-read through this thread (to refamilarise myself), and I've just noticed something very strange. I'm not sure if it's something that PicsCrazy has done to the image, but the image size would give away what resolution your screen it set to, and judging by that screen shot, your resolution is set to something very silly like 1152x864. If you have a standard screen, then the closest match to that resolution should be 1024x768 or 1280x1024. The resolution you are currently set to is wide screen. Can you right click on your desktop and go to Properties. Click on the Settings tab and you'll see your resolution from there.

Yeah I'm guessing they are some kind of artifact from the card. I had an old ati 9600 that did this and it was a pain. Just try a new card, you can get a decent card for under a hundred bucks and a nicer one for a little more and if thats doesn't fix it, just take it back and say it didn't work on your pc, believe me i have done it 3 times in the past month at fry's.

And it would help to know your system specs in the future or even the type of card.
