For the most part, no. But the HD 38xx series of cards are fantastic. the 3870X2 in terms of raw processing power is far more powerful than a single 8800GTS 512

Its ok, all 8600s are about that price well that spec one anyway.

I would try and get an 8800gt though instead

Those 2 cards are for graphics processing not for gaming. If you want a card get the HD3870 X2 crossfire.
