Default Adding Zalman (or other) heatsink/fan to Nvidia gpu

I have a EVGA 7950 Ko superclocked gpu in my desktop and I want it to run cooler. Idling it runs about 61-62 C and this is with not putting anything in the pci slot below it and leaving the slots cover off. Is this normal? I’ve never had a card run this hot. I was thinking about getting a Zalman cooler to install myself but I was wondering if anyone could make any other suggestions? And tell me how exactly to go about removing the sock heatsink and fan and installing the Zalman. I’ve never modified a gpu before.

That you that video is very helpful. So removing the old card is as easy as unscrewing the back too?

Yes, most GPU heatsinks are held in place with screws and springs. The Zalman kit usually comes with full instructions tho
