Ok, I created a restore point then successfully downloaded the old driver from Dell so now I'm going to test my game and see if it freezes or not I will get back to you ASAP sometimes it happens within minutes sometimes hours. I wish I knew where I obtained the driver I had very weird.
Well so far so good! Thx 4 ur help Hengis. Will try again tomorrow and post if it crashes again. In the meantime should I post a new topic about my soundcard driver updates crashing my system?
Well 2nd try and SIMS froze after about an hour of play but I was able to tab out and close it, sometimes works sometimes not. Anyway I checked my event viewer and as usual all it says is application hang category (101) event 1002. However there were windows updates waiting to be installed, so not sure if this had anything to do with freeze or not so I guess I'll test again.
3rd try and again after about an hour of playing it froze with a volume increase and I was able to ctrl+esc and close it. I checked windows task manager, nothing I see running.Checked event viewer applications again, the same issue as above application hang at 3:27:45, the only other thing in a close time frame (3:28:14) is an error with my anti virus. I'm going to try playing with the anti virus disabled and see what happens from there.
Well I'm at my wits end with this, 4th try no better only this time there were a few things going on in the event viewer applications at time of freeze.
