I just built this computer. Here are the stats:
AMD x2 6000+
2 gigs 800mhz
WD Raptor 74gb hard drive
MSI K9A platinum motherboard
8800gt e-geforce 512 ddr3.
Operating on Vista 32.
600 watt thermaltake Power Supply Unit.
creative xtreme gamer sound card.

Problem is that I am getting scores of around 2000-2500 on 3dmark 06 for the graphics based tests. The
CPU is fine it gets around 2100 and that's what other x2 6000+ are getting. .
I have seen others get stock speeds of around 5000 with this card. My overall score is around 6000.
I've never put together a pc before, first time build, but everything seems to be going okay except for the sound card which sounds like **** and I think it's probably the drivers or something because it works fine on XP, and the 8800gt. It can only Play Crysis on Medium if I put it high it freezes up too much to be playable and others with the same card don't have this problem so I am guessing with the low score and how others do with their cards something is wrong.
Since I have never put together a PC before maybe I was supposed to do something when setting up the card that I didn't do. I basically put everything together, installed all the drivers, and started playing games and stuff. Is there something I need to configure?
It's also worth noting that the K9A motherboard is meant for ATI. It has Crossfire and not SLI but someone bought it for me so I can't complain. I read it doesn't make much difference unless you want to run dual cards..
Hope someone can help pinpoint the problem. If you need more info let me know. . Thanks.
