I hope someone can help me with this problem....

I am trying to connect my pc to my tv. I have a 25ft s-video cable that seems to work fairly well. The problems I'm running into now are these...In clone mode it wokrs ok but when I try to switch to dual view all I get is my wallpaper. When I try to "extend" my desktop the screen goes completely black. I have updated my drivers and I'm guessing its probably one little setting I need to change but I can't figure out where?????

and lastly...in clone mode or otherwise I get a couple horizontal lines running through the screen constanly and slowly...any ideas to help??? Try to keep it low tech for me..lol

I am not an expert at this but I will try to assist the best I can.

In dual view, do you get your wall paper on both screens? If you get it on one screen, then it sounds like it is working right. The dual screen mode, makes you have more "desktop" space. If you had your monitor and tv placed side-by-side, you would see how you can drag from one screen to the other.

I am not sure what you mean by "extend" your desktop.

The horizontal lines, are they on both screens?

thanks for the try.. the tv and monitor are pretty far apart but i was unaware i could just drag stuff to the tv screen.
what i was hoping to do was get it set up so I could basically have the two screens running the exact same desktop but have the tv @ a different setting so i didn't have to change the resolution on the computer each time i wanted to make it fit onto the tv screen properly.

as for the horizontal lines..they are just on the tv!!

the problem is that your TV is 640x480 interlaced.i tried this myself a while back, and ran into the same problme. there really isnt any fix for it that im aware of.
