Hey guys, I just built my first
cpu at xmas, and I must say it is a good feeling...

I am running 2 nvidia 8600Gt cards in sli mode. For the most part, everything has been running great..
Today I downloaded and installed a Nvidia forceware driver update which I guess I missed (for the Motherboard nvidia chipset and the nvidia LAN adapter.) It looked like a new graphics card driver was thrown into the nvidia install as well even though I was up to date as of last week. Now when I go to play a game, as soon as it loads up- an annoying invidia (mode monitor / label???) ad sits on the top left of the screen. It reads:SLi 16 x AA. And a bar that shows up occasionally that looks almost like a
loading symbol. How do I get rid of it?!?!
I guess I noticed it today right after the installs... I read the nvidia controll panel FAQ and searched on there website and came across this:
"Show GPU load balancing" enabled in the NVIDIA Display control panel.
What are the green lines that appear on my screen when in SLI Mode?
Answer If you see horizontal or vertical green lines on your screen as show below, it means that you have "Show GPU load balancing" enabled in the NVIDIA Display control panel. When enabled, this option shows how your GPUs are sharing the graphics load. For games that are rendered using AFR (alternate frame rendering), a green vertical bar will grow up and down on your screen, depending on the amount of scaling. For games that are rendered using SFR (split-frame rendering), a green horizontal line will move up and down on your screen, showing how the load is being balanced between each GPU. If the upper half and the lower half of the screen have a similar level of detail, the horizontal line will stay close to the middle.
Excited I went to the nvidia panel and searched display settings but didn't even come across a "Show GPU load balancing" option. Am I not looking in the right place? **** those things to hell!
