Unhappy Is a DDR3 graphics card Compatible with DDR2 RAM?

Alright I have EVGA GeForce 7950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported KO HDCP Video Card

and a
Kingston HyperX 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory

but when I try to play games like call of duty 2 it freezes up and I can't figure out why, even playing single player


Is a DDR3 graphics card Compatible with DDR2 RAM?



I also have a ABIT KN9 AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard
and for a processor;; AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Orleans 2.2GHz Socket AM2 Single-Core Processor




if anyone can help me I will be the happiest person in the world. thanks

To answer your question, the type of Video RAM you have has no relation to the Type of System Memory you have. They are 2 completely seperate things. IT sounds more like you have an overheating problem or something else. Maybe a virus problem.
