HI guys,

Got a 8500gt in My PC and its not working correctly.
Its fitted perfectly
I have deleted my old drivers for the old card and installed the new ones
device manager says its working fine , it clearly isnt, it trys running at 800x600 res , when i set it to the larger res , there are blurry/stretched lines down the screen in places.

What can i do?

Got it plugged in correctly? (With the extra power cord, it's a 4-pin one I believe)

Did you uninstall your old drivers before installing the new ones also? (And restarting in-between)

Ah its PCI-E graphics card, all the pins are in correectly, well before I took it out, it made my screen go blank then flickered evry 20 seconds. Yes I uninstalled the old drivers then took the old card out , put the new one in , then installed the new ones.

You installed the drivers that came with the card? Have you tried downloading new drivers from the nVidia website?

Yes have installed the up to date drivers from nvidia.

And you tried the ones from the CD that came with the card too right?

no cd came with the card.
