Default Screen Flickers

Ok, so I've had this new 7600GS in for a few days now and even the colors look brighter. Everything looks great. Im playing my favorite games on the highest settings. But every so often my screen flickers. It doesn't happen a lot... like once every 5 - 10 minutes. It's really odd, as if I had the wrong refresh rate. I don't think it is the video card itself, but maybe the driver settings, or maybe it's this monitor getting old.

I only turned on triple buffering because the game I was playing had the vertical on by default.

Try forcing vertical sync on by default (or off)

If you're using a CRT, a higher refresh rate then 60 is recommended btw, it's better for your eyes

Ok, I turned it on and will see if it still flickers.

I think my monitor only supports up to 60. I thought I read that somewhere, but I've been switching monitors for so long that it's tough keeping track. It should be on the back but I dont see it there and it didnt come with a book.

I turned it up to 75 because nvidia control panel says it reduces flicker. lol >.>

I play 3 games lately. 1 is CSS and it doesn't happen at all with that game. Valve has always been very dependable in that regard.
The 2nd is Crusader Kings, which is a Grand Strategy game (board type game), and the flickering occurs the most in this game. I do not set my time speed higher than Above Normal though because I believe its a bit unstable.
The last game is Guild Wars and it only happens when loading between maps.

I have not played Crusader Kings since increasing the refresh rate & turning on verticle sync. I have played Guild Wars and it seems to be very slightly less intensive, though has not solved the problem. I'm going to go hop on CK now while I eat and see how things turn out.
