Default Visiontek Radeon HD 3850.. To buy, or not to buy.....

I'm trying to decide weather or not to get the Visiontek Radeon 3850. I have heard very good things about the ATi 3xxx Series. I've heard they have actual application performance on Par with the 8800GTS. for only $180 with 256MB that would be awesom. here is the link. I think ill get it. Sounds good. Newegg.com - VisionTek 900203 Radeon HD 3850 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

Post thoughts and opinions. I think its about time to give ATi another shot.

Any thoughts and opinions welcome. Ive decided to get it. It smokes the 8600GTS and is very competetive price-wise. Way to go AMD!

*whistles* wow. it works much better than i had even hoped for. Great Framerates on Oblivion, Sims2, and more. Runs fairly cool too. Drivers could be a bit better though.

That's the one place AMD is getting slack in; drivers.

By the time I am ready to upgrade again, I will probably stick with Nvidia for that reason alone.
nvidia has so many driver options I dont know what to do with myself
