hi im getting rid of my 2 sli geforce 8600 GTS to buy a 8800 ultra accept i had a look in my pc today and i noticed that my 2 cards had 2 capels joined to them that murdged into 1. if i put in the ultra and left one of those cabels hanging would that be ok?

Hi woobla,

You can disconnect the cable from both cards and keep the cable somewhere safe.

No, since you won't be able to SLI both cards together. They will be acting independently from one another, so need for any cables.
