Hey there.im new to this site and i'll be honest, ive never really liked PC's untill recently.I could never understand them so thats why i hated them.But from a few months ago i have been getting more and more involved with learning about my pc.I know about the motherboard, what graphic card i got, the processor (doesn't sound like a lot but it is to me lol ^_^).
Anyway, back on topic, i got a problem with my direct x and im not sure how to resolve it.im not sure wot direct x i have but when i try to install 9.0c, it it can't then says look at the directx.log.(see below)

It makes no sense to me.Any ideas?.Then i got a copy of my dxdiag an in that it says i already got directx9.0c, but says some files are missing or old.Wot do i do??.any help will be great.Thanks

Hi sieggy lee, SP2 makes a big difference.

You can download it from Microsoft Corporation onto CD, install it - it fixes alot of problems that were around with Windows....alot

I tried downloading that before.And when i got home to put it on the computer, it said i needed to be connected to the internet.I didn't download it onto a disc.I used my mp3 player as thats what i use to download stuff on lol.Its 1Gig so it can hold a few little bits lol.

You shouldn't need an internet connection to install SP2 if you had the full installer for it.

To have SP2 installed is a good thing anyway, but relevent to your problem, it also has directx 9.0c in it included.
