OK.

1. You moved your old motherboard into the new chassis. Yes?

2. Did you transfer over the old PSU or did the new chassis come with a new PSU?

3. Have you checked all the power and signal connections?

4. You might check the battery for the BOIS. It might not be seated correctly.

1. Yeah, in fact I had everything in the old case installed into the new case at one time until I ran into this problem and I started taking things out to simplify the issue. Currently, the motherboard, CPU, RAM, Hard drive, CD-ROM, Video card and power supply are installed.

2. I transfered my 500-watt power supply over, my new case didn't come with a Power Supply Unit believe it or not.

3. I triple checked that everything was plugged into the Power Supply Unit correctly. I have not whipped out the ol' volt-o-meter though. The video card doesn't require direct power from the PSU but draws its power from the PCI-E slot. The fan spins on the video card as well. As of now, the system board, CD-ROM drive and SATA HD are plugged into the PSU. The cases power switch is also plugged in to the board of course.

4. I didn't really tamper with the battery but it is always possible that it might of popped out of bit during the installation process. I'll check it out ASAP.

I also checked if any stand-offs might be shorting out the board, but there doesn't seem to be any directly pressing against it.

Assuming that the BIOS battery is working properly and assuming that your old computer configuration was working before you moved everything into the new chassis, then suggest you moved everything back into the old chassis just as it was.

If, after moving everything back, the monitor shows the BIOS data during bootup, then either the new chassis or the new hard drive is doing something it shouldn't be doing.

If, however, the old computer configuration does not work, then I would say that something was damaged in the transfer. Specifically the video card.

If everything in the old computer configuration works, replace the old hard drive with the new hard drive in the original chassis. Does the monitor still work? If not, then there is something wrong with the new hard drive.

If everything works with the new hard drive in the old chassis, then something is amiss with your new chassis.

I hope I didn't lose you in all that verbage.

Good Luck

I think that I have just canceled out that the video card is the problem. I found an old PCI video card laying around and tried it in the computer that is having the problems. The monitor still didn't get signal and the same beep code sounded.

Then to test the video card, I installed it in another computer and it worked great.

So then. Maybe my memory was damaged or perhaps the system bored is toast.
