Been a while since I've had any trouble with my PC. But thats a good thing, right?
Anyways, today I purchased an 8800GTS. My olg 6600GT wasnt cutting it anymore.
A friend of mine told me that I should be worried about supplying the power to it, its quite a power hog.
I'm wondering if I have enough. I have an Enermax Liberty 500w PSU, running with an AMD 3800X2, 2 hard drives, a DVD CD ROM combo drive, a Hauppauge WinTV tuner, and 5 case fans. I'm using the onboard 7.1 sound.
The card having its own power cord directly to the PSU seems like it shouldnt have a problem for power. I also read that the GTS needs atleast 24 amps through the 12v rail, my PSU is supposed to be putting out 32 amps at max.
Should I be alright, or will I want to upgrade my PSU again?
