Hmmm...most likely just due to the video card itself.
Your best course of action would be to try some modified drivers from nVIDIA Geforce 8800 8600 7950 7900 7600 GT GTX AMD ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT x1950 x1900 2400 2600 XT Pro - Guru of 3D: PC Hardware Reviews ![]() If I'm thinking correctly, Vista base the rest on hardware, and not the drivers...so it might just be the video card. Replace this and you'll be laughin'

I queried nVIDIA, but haven't heard back from them (surprise, surprise) Replace mine with what? If the Gaming graphics is a function of the Video card, what card would get me a 5.9/5.9 rating for all graphics areas. It would be nice, if hardware were currently WEI rated, but I guess that will take a few years for vendors to come up to speed on.

To be honest, i think that number system is a load of cow droppings...however, it's a number people are goign to be trying to increase all the time now...so...*sigh*...
You'll find the video card has both 2D/3D parts...different hardware. the Desktop utilises both of these. 3D for the areo functionality, and the 2D for all the text, websites, etc etc. The games have only the 3D area to use these days. This is my thinking of it anyway I could be completely and utterly wrong...
