Default [Resolved] Fable graphics

I hope i've posted this in the right location

Ok, Garhar (such a sweet boy haha ) figured out how to fix my Fable game so naturally i've been playing the game 24 hours a day because i'm really enjoying it! Dont worry, i'm getting to the question now! Look down here, i promise you will find it vvv

So anyway, I've thoroughly been enjoying this game, and its not manditory that this gets fixed but its quite annoying when it happens (the graphics are amazing in this game by the way! ) but when i pull up the menus for character stats, etc the very left hand side column of text/options are hidden so i cant read the main menu. I can click through and guess what they are by whats displayed in the box in the center (eg character personality, items, etc) I dont know if the screen is off center or what, but its weird.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, i know its very long. However, if someone can help me fix it i would enjoy this game even more!

Hi Lightangel,

It does sound to me that you're monitor is off center, the question is, is it like that when you are simply at your Windows Desktop. If not, it could be that when the game is initializing, that it's being set to a different resolution that you're monitor is not quite set up for. Try a different resolution (start with 800x600 and move up, other common resolutions are 640x480, 1024x768, 1180x1020, these are assuming you are not using a widescreen monitor).

You may want to check in the video options to make sure that you don't have a widescreen option checked that could be skewing the picture and making it too wid for your screen.

Thats the thing though, i have a beautiful big widescreen monitor Should i still try the different resolution? The desktop and the internet, everything else i use is perfect size for this screen. Its just the game thats giving me problems. Actually, its not the game, its only the menus when i pull up character stats. The game when i'm running around and everything is beautiful. Thats not giving me any problems. Its hard to describe, i hope you understand what i'm trying to explain...

When i baught this computer from best buy they set everything up for me so i'm scared to change too much because it might mess up the whole screen setup. Its one tiny aspect of the game thats not centered (the menus). The scenes of the story and the game itself are alligned perfectly. How can that be?

You could then consider simply using the on screen display of your monitor to either move it over a bit or shrink and center it. That's all I can really think of off hand.

Nevermind, i figured it out. You can mark this one as "fixed" if you'd like.

Lightangel could you possibly tell us how you fixed it if you have the time?
Just for future reference in case someone else has a similar problem.

It was kind of miraculous really, because the game loaded like that probably the first 5 or 6 times i played it. Then, i decided to play it for the 7th time and i noticed that the screen was centered perfectly. I could read the menus on the far left perfectly, where as before i could only see a section of each word. Im not sure if the game reloaded and fixed itself based on my updated video card? I'm not sure. I wish i could tell you how i fixed it, i dont think i did...it just happened. *blushes* If only i were that good with computers, i would have showed off hehe
