Default HD 2900 XT Crossfire

just had to do it....i gave into temptation an got another hd 2900xt....one problem....i have NO performance gain....3dmark 06 gave me a score of 10295, which was the same as when it was single but overclocked.....also i see no increase in the fps iin Lost Planet....andddd to top it off since the 7.6 driver came out everytime i run COH it goes into red screen an shuts my pc off....anyone have a clue wots goin on? the crossfire is enable iv reinstalled the drivers and the games an nothin has worked.....

just to update it....i think its the driver thats wrong....but durin my research i can have a 3rd card for physics,,,,but not an Ageia card.....(howcud this be?) but an x1600 in my 3rd slot wud process physics...my motherboard supports it but does ne1 actually know if it requirs specific drivers? i cant find ne on the net.....

Oy,

What driver version are you using?

Also, as far as I know, only nVidia has talked about third card being used as physics processor, and I don't think it's been implemented yet.

im using 7.6....heres a link to the Ati physics...altho its a bit dated
ATI CrossFire™ and Physics

the reason your having no performance increase, is because there are no decent drivers for the ATi Radeon2900 series yet. its not a problem with your computer. you will have to wait until there are good drivers for Crossfire. here is a link to help you find out more AnandTech: ATI HD 2900XT CrossFire: Intel 975X versus Intel P35
