Do you guys think we'll eventually see GPUs switch to Dual Cores, just like their CPU counterparts? This is a discussion my brother and I had some time ago, one day at work. We were talking about people utilizing SLI Setups for their PCs for 'performance boosts' and then I had suggested that perhaps a cheaper alternate Graphics Cards makers could do is make Dual Core GPUs for their graphics cards. However I did realize that CPUs and GPUs are a bit different, even though they have similarities, so I wasn't sure if such a thing was possible. What do you guys think? Are Dual Core GPUs possible? And if so, do you think Graphics Card Makers will switch to them sooner or later?
