Default Grafics card help

Hi i have a GeForce fx 5200 and im having problems with it. I have updated the drivers and still having the same problem

the problem is that my screen fickers and them just got to colours aur blacks out completly so im just using the default at the moment also when i am trying to play a game it freezes can anyone help please

What do you mean by "just using the default" and what are you doing when the screen flickers normally?

defaul monitor im not using the grafic card at the moment and it is just on windows main page

Sorry dude, you've just confused me.

You need to be using a graphics card for anything to appear on the monitor.

what i mean is im not using the geforce program on my pc as it causes it to black out or go all different colours

The fx 5200 is a fairly old card now...almost 6 years old if my memory serves me correctly.
