i was just cheaking my divice manager and it says that my pci import device isnt installed could that be a problem

Hi mrvrx...PCI import device shouldn't have anything to do with it...
Wouldn't hurt to try and find drivers for it. If you update drivers and select from the Windows Update, this will work fine if MS know of the hardware signiture.

Next step would be to update your sound card - i know many games that have problems with this.
