im wondering, since one day i hope to win the lottery.. (lmao) i like to spend time on newegg building my dream computer. I want a P35 ASUS board with 3 PCIe slots. but,i want to run a crossfire config. i want 2 sapphire Radeon X1950XTs in crossfire. then, in the 3rd slot, i want to run a 8800GTX. can i mix ATi and Nvidia cards? just hypothetically speaking

As monkey said yes but it'd be pretty useless, the only possible reason I can think of to have 3 cards is a triple head set up and then you wouldn't be using all three to it's full potential.

It's also not three full bandwidth pci-e slots, there are only 2 pci-e x16 slots, and one pci-e 1x which would bottleneck that 8800 (I'm not even sure you can use cards like that in x1 slots)
