Default PCI slots

Long story short my computer is only a couple of years yet we have PCI slots. I like to play games on my computer and most aren't too impressive graphically. I have a Geforce MX 4000 so it does the job most of the time. Anyway games are boosting their graphics so I was thinking of getting a new card only to find that they don't make any better PCI cards.

In short what is the cheapest way of getting a better graphics card? I can't afford a new computer.

To be honest mate, I don't think a PCI graphics card will benefit you in any way.

The way to go about it would be a new motherboard which supports PCI-E which will likely needs a new CPU and ram as well so it could get fairly expensive.

I thought as much. I have a Pentium 4 and regular DDR Ram so its going to be a hassle it seems.
