I bought a GEforce 7300GS and it has one of those connecter things on it where I can hook it up to my TV.. but when I do it nothing happens.. is there some sort of program I have to have installed to watch it?>

I think you may have it the wrong way round, I think it is probably TV out, not a TV tuner.

You should be able to switch to TV out in display properties.
