Default pc to dvd recorder is it possible?

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone knew of a way to connect my pc to my dvd player. i have a dvd recorder and i'm having trouble burning one of my video files on my pc so i thought i might be able to link my pc with my dvd recorder to burn it to a disc that way

Hi big,

Welcome to PCHF.

IT's not quite that simple. It will not work the same way as a DVD-Writer for a PC. You will need to do it the old fasioned way, play the video back on your PC, and at the same time, record on your DVD Recorder.

To be honest, by the time you buy all the connections you need to connect the two together, you may as well have bought a DVD-Writer for the PC, and it's much easier to use. It also depends on if your graphics card even has a S-Video output?

thanks for your help....the main problem i had was that when i tried to burn a movie it said it would not fit on the disc so i tried to zip the file but the same thing happened so i guess i'll just bite the bullet and buy a 8gb disc,
