Most people have 32-bit edition and you normally know if you have 64-bit

IF you are running Windows XP – Home, Professional, Media Center or Tablet PC Edition version 2002 (or Media Center 2004) you have a 32bit version of Windows. If you are running professional you could have 64-bit.

But check that first. Most likely you are running home edition.
