Default [Answered] pci graphics card help?

when i purchased my pc about 4 months ago i asked for a half decent but not too expensive graphics card and i ended up with this one below:
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce 7600 GS
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Display Memory: 512.0 MB

now when i asked if it was agp one he said it was pci express card which is better but today when i added some more memory to my pc i noticed that card was in the slot as below:

now should it not be in the purple pci slot if this is the case correct me if i'm wrong as a bit of a noob when it come's to pc's apart from running them????

Nope that is fine how it is in that slot, the other slot is a pci-e x4 slot according to manual:

http://www.asrock.com/manual/775XFire-eSATA2+.pdf

PCI-express is better and the best available at the moment.

Chris
