Hi, i just recently bought a Gainward BLISS GeForce 7950 GT "Golden Sample" 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) graphics card and im having problems playing games from Steam.
Other games seem to work without any problems andwindows vista works fine. When i try to play counter strike, the screen just flashes and i have to restart my comp. I can play Half Life: 2, but there are several graphics errors, little black boxes appear on textures etc.

help?

Do you have the latest drivers for the card?

i downloaded the 97.46_forceware_winvista_x86_international_whql drivers and the english version of those, still didnt work

Is the card overheating by any chance?

I dont think its overheating...

I just tried running battlefield 2142 and that didnt work either :S

i played battle for middle earth 2: rise of the witchking, and that worked great on ultra high graphics.
