i've got all the newest update, drivers patches etc for all the hardwares i've installed on my PC. I've updated the BIOS and i've updated the Graphics Card driver, the newest driver date for the graphics card is 2006/10/22, so that's the newest one rite now i have installed. I've done all the updates possible, my PC is virus-clean cuz i do a scan all the time so yea nothing related to it either.

OK that's good. As far as the virus scan, although this doesn't sound like any kind of virus or malware that I've ever encountered, what are you using to scan?

Also, does this, or anything like this, occur with anything else other than gaming? For example have you tested it out with video clips or the like, anything memory intensive? Have you done a memory test to make sure that there are no problems with your RAM? If not I would recommend running a Memtest scan. RAM can go bad on you without warning, and cause glitchy problems.

Another possibility is that you have a bad graphics card. It happens, as you are still under warrantee, trading this one out shouldn't be that difficult.

i use Ad Aware SE personal, Spyware Blaster, Windows Defender, Advanced Windows Care PRO, Spybot Search and Destroy etc........just the programs recommended by others, i use them. I think this problem only occurs to me when i play games, it works fine for other things. This graphics card isn't that bad, it's decent, it's a 256mb so it should run fine since my older one was 128mb and it didn't have any of this problem be4......my friend said my graphics card might be overheating, he said i might have to try overclocking it or something, i know wat it is but i'm not sure if this is the last thing i can do.

The specific scans are actually important, as is the information you are giving us if you want us to help you troubleshoot this issue. Please be specific when answering questions.

Overclocking is not a fix for overheating, your friend is seriously misinformed. Your individual graphics card itself may be damaged. That is why I made that suggestion. However, before asssuming that is the cause I would think it a better course of action to do the memory test as instructed before. Please post back with the results.

ok i downloaded the MemTest program thing, i ran rawrite.exe and it opened by the command window and it shows the line "Enter disk image source file name:", i don't understand wat it means, wat do i enter?

Hi Chao, Memtest needs to be booted from off of a floppy or CD. If you don't have a floppy drive, you will need to download the bootable CD version and use a utility like Nero to burn it into a bootable CD. Everything I have ever read about Memtest as well as all the times I've had success with using it to troubleshoot, recommend allowing the test to run overnight to thoroughly check your RAM.

If the test runs all night and shows no RAM problems, the next troubleshooting step is to return the card, and get a new one. If you are still having the same problem, we will have eliminated most of the possible issues, and it may be worth checking out malware as a culprit, although, as I said previously, this just doesn't sound like a malware issue.
