Download the drivers first....then uninstall the current ones (and click yes to uninstall drivers) and then install the ones that you have...

If a window pops up automatically saying "new hardware installation" cancel the window and run the drivers manually.

Also N.O.S. is a "smart" overclocking tool by asus....i wouldn't bother with it until we get your SLI working properly

Personally I never saw the red light when I had SLI...I'll see if I can dig anything up on it, but red always means somethign is not right..

I'll look into it while you reinstall some drivers

Default the drivers work.

but.... the problem is still not solved. i thought i may have wired my system wrong so i tinkered around and it made a really bad noise. so i stopped. the red light is located at the top right of the primary graphics card plug in. my windows has started to seriously mess up so i backed up all my music and movies on my second hard drive and tried to format my main hard drive.........BUT it wont let me. bloody thing keeps saying theres something still running, but there is nothing open in the task manager. im so stumped i cant even wipe my harddisk. ****. i need a beer.

How are you trying to format your main drive?

If you right click on "Local Disk" and select format - you won't ever be able to do it this way. You need your Windows XP cd and need to boot off that.

So the red light is actually on the video card itself and not on the motherboard?
