Default Bf2142 performance dropped with new video card
I got a new graphics card for christmas. My current specs are
PP4 3.0ghz ht tech
1.5GB ram
(currently geforce 7800gs) I had a x700pro agp
500W PSU
This graphics card gave a me a great improvment in every game and benchmarking programs I have except BF2142. I have the latest drivers and I deleted the config files for bf2142, but none of that worked. It doesn't make sense to me why this 7800gs is performing slower than my x700 only in BF2142. Benchmarks and performance in other games are much better with the 7800gs except BF2142.

Im sorry there has been no reply, it seems to have been missed. Have you tried reinstalling bf2142?

You may want to try changing the name of the .exe to launch the BF 2142. It at least worked most of the time for BF2. i beleve they said that Nvidia makes special rules for programs with known game .exe names. For some reason changing the name seemed to enhance the performance of the game.

try to install different nvidia's drivers...thats the only solution here i believe.
