Been playing Online (Age of Mythology) for bout 3 months on this computer and things been fine,,, i downloaded the new IExplorer 7 , DirectX update, and some other stuff from Microsoft the other day (i also took out and put back in my RAM Cards).. My problem is the graphics on this game are now Bad and the online speed is a little worse. anyway have i put too much on my this Old computer or can i fix this. Not Great with compouters....

If someone can help what do i need to do?

Some more info would be welcome, it helps to know what hardware you have etc. Until you do that we are taking stabs in the dark on solutions to your problems...

Alot of people are having problems with IE7, and the directx update could be affecting your graphics on the games. Sounds like you started having problems after the updates, i would uninstall the updates, and see if that straightens it out. If it doesnt help, you can always reinstall em later. And as Arctos said, more info may help someone help you.

Hey, many companies are having some major problems with the IE7 update(mainly due to the security updates) however it should not affect your graphics for gaming. Unless ur gaming thorugh a browser. The directx update however deals more with your system graphics performance. I would first sujest updating your graphics card driver, and if that fails delete directx update but keep the graphics card driver. updating ur graphics card driver can fixe a vast amount of problems. If that fails u may have damaged the motherboard, this is highley unlikely since ur graphics card even loaded, but it is still possible.

k i'll do that to the update. here is some info let me know if it helps.

Intel Pentium III Processor
Disk Drive - Maxtor 51369U3
Display adaptor - Intel 82815 Graphics Controller (microsoft)\

Sound - Intel 82801BA/BAM AC'97 adio controller

i had a look at some of the updates this was read ....

MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978)
A vulnerability exists in the XMLHTTP ActiveX control within Microsoft XML Core Services that could allow for remote code execution
