Graphics - Graphics card compatability posted in the Hardware forums; Would an ATI Radeon x700 work with a pentium D processor? I have lost my instruction maual and dont seem to be able to find anything the ATI site! Thanks....

Angry Graphics card compatability

Would an ATI Radeon x700 work with a pentium D processor?

I have lost my instruction maual and dont seem to be able to find anything the ATI site!

Welcome to PCHF rourke!

Processor's dont normally determine what graphics card you may have, it is the motherboard which determines this. Please can you tell us the motherboard make and model in your pc or the pc make and model.

Hi, pentium d, ECS 865PE-A7 motherboard with 8x AGP. Graphics card is ATI Radeon x700 by Saphire.

It does help, however i need a link or an exact model name for the graphics card as there are a lot of different versions of the ATI Radeon X700 by Sapphire.

I see no reason why it would not work in this setup...
it would most likely give some performance increase.

What exactly are you looking to do here?

Which Pentium D model ??
