Smile [Answered] New Video Card.

Well since my Bday is a few days before Xmas and i was going to get a PS3, but now im just thinking about getting a new Video card. I was planning on getting the Nvidia 8800GTX but is it worth it? Dose Nvidia plan on coming out with a better card any time soon? and yes i plan on getting windows XP.

Also i was looking at these 2 BFG 8800 GTX's what the difference? they both seem to be just as powerful? what is that on the second card? a water block?

1st Card Newegg.com - BFG Tech GeForce 8800GTX BFGR88768GTXE HDCP Video Card - Retail

2nd Card Newegg.com - BFG Tech GeForce 8800GTX BFGR88768GTXWC50E HDCP Video Card with 1/2" Fittings - Retail

EDIT: Well i guess that the second card comes with a waterblock on it and i do have a watercooled system. Is it worth the extra money to get the card with the waterblock on it? Just wondering but would haveing 2 of these cards in SLI really improov that over just one card?

Hello broken

Welcome back

Well I'd go for the water cooled but just make sure the pipes are secure lol.

LOL..Worth is directly proportional to desire !!! i wouldnt give 800$ for a whole system. .....Im just funnin with you though, from what ive read its a good card, and people that run watercooling swear by it. Anyway...Happy Birthday!! Giving yourself a present is the only way to be sure you get what you want. LOL

Personally - i'd wait.

It's the first gen dx10 - there's going to be some teething problems...and if you're not going to windows vista - there's no benefit...there is not going to be any DirectX 10 support in Windows XP.
