Yesterday I was on a website looking for the 7600sg video card I will be installing. I ran into something I do not understand, for example i thinking of using a safe version 84.21. What I do not understand is it comes in 32bit and 64 bit, how do I figure out which to use?

You are running either Windows XP 32-bit version or 64-bit version.
What kind of processor do you have? What does it say under Properties, right-clicking 'My Computer'?

Depending on what Windows you're running, you should download the 32-bit or 64-bit version.

again thanks for your help.
CPU is P4 1.5 gig Old old old I will be overhauling my system soon and one thing that will go is the processor.goal is to create a half gammer half work computer and get my hands dirty doing it
I found the info I asked you about in start programs accessories system tools then system information and the answer was 32
