Default Update

I got everything to work for a few minutes and then straight back to hell. I right clicked on the desktop and went to properties. I went to the driver for the new card and did an automatic update. That solved everything! But then out of nowhere, it went right back to the same problem- I can't play a dvd and I can't use control panel. What is going on?! I guess it is a problem with the driver or a conflict with the old video card, but how the (*^$ would I fix that conflict if it's onboard? It seems like I just disable it over and over again!

If disabling the onboard video card in the bios doesn't resolve the conflict, then i'm affraid that the card itself may be damaged.

Ok, I've got control panel back now, but can't play a dvd- I just get the audio with an error message. "You've encountered error message C00D10BD while using Windows Media Player. Additional information is not currently available for this error."
