i think i know the problem...as both of those tools did not detect any graphics info. This is also the case when i go to control p>display>settings>advanced>adapter.

i assume something should show up. And as i remember Radoen 7000 used to show up there.

Yes, the problem is related to the fact that you do not have the correct drivers installed. Did you try installing the latest Catalyst drivers from www.ati.com ?

i think you have a simular problem to mine: http://www.pchelpforum.com/graphics/...d-problem.html

if you type dxdiag within the run dialog box (start > run) do you see at the screen tab that you card has "o" or "n/a" memory?

if it is simular to my problem try this:

remove all the driver parts (also with driver cleaner 3)

install an older driver version

edit: note: i don't think this could be an spyware problem, but im not an expert..

its doesnt matter mate...ive got it sorted. Cheers for the help anyway.

So it was the driver then..good job!

As for the HJT log, you might want to put a tick next to these and remove them:
O23 - Service: Command Service (cmdService) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\QmFyYmFyYSBCcmllcmxleQ\command.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: Network Monitor - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Network Monitor\netmon.exe (file missing)
